Short description: High-achieving students are rarely considered a high-risk population, but recent research into child welfare demonstrates that the pressures of high achievement are in the top four risk factors for students. This session explores the psychological, developmental, and social costs for high-achieving students and presents practical methods to address these concerns at home and in the classroom.
