Short description: This session describes the 2022 Initial Practice-Based Professional Preparation Standards for Gifted Educators. The presenters identify why the 2013 standards needed to be revised, the revision process, the research base, and each of the seven standards and its related components. Time is allotted for discussing how to align programs to the standards and develop professional learning opportunities.
