As Amokapua | Assistant Vice Chancellor Engagement, Brett Berquist leads the University of Canterbury’s (NZ) engagement, institutional advancement, and strategic partnerships. UC is on target to be carbon net neutral by 2030, ahead of New Zealand’s national target of 2050. Previously, he led the international portfolio at the University of Auckland, which led the world in the Times Higher Education inaugural Impact Ranking focused on the UN SDGs. Brett has experience across the breadth of international education, as faculty and administrator in Europe, the US, and Australasia.
