Dan Kramer is the Director of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program (FUSP) at IIE as well as other international programs. In his current role, he oversees the FUSP selection process and works closely with other key stakeholders – including the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), Fulbright Commissions, U.S. Embassies, and U.S. and international universities – on the pre-departure preparation and in-country support of ca. 2,100 participants in over 130 countries. Dan came to IIE in 2012, after having worked in academia for over a decade as a faculty member – teaching, conducting research, and directing study abroad programs. He did his undergraduate work at St. John’s University in Minnesota, earned his MA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, holds a Ph.D. from Harvard.
