Nannette Ripmeester is the director of Expertise in Labour Mobility (ELM) and director Europe & North America for i-graduate. She’s involved in the employability initiative CareerProfessor.works, supporting students’ intercultural and employability skills through a gamification app. ‘Making mobility work’ is her motto - Nannette thrives when making the connection between education and the world of work, global employability being pivotal in her work. She is passionate about customizing solutions for international mobility for study and work purposes and is keen to enhance the connection between graduates and their future job opportunities. Her love for global mobility and bridging the gap between education and the world of work was ignited when she worked for 7 years at the European Commission where she was responsible for setting up the EURES database for mobile workers in EU Member States. Nannette holds an MA degree from the University of Amsterdam. She is a member of the supervisory board for Codarts University in the Netherlands and is actively involved in the NAFSA Trainer Corps. She has been the ‘Industry Innovator in Residence’ for Queensland 2018-19 with a focus on employability. With over 25 years of experience working for corporate and HigherEd organisations, Nannette is a leading expert on mobility for study and work.
