Associate Director, International Relations

Kirk has worked in Australian international education since 2001. In his role as the Associate Director, International Relations and Partnerships he oversees the management of Internationalisation, Partner Development and Learning Abroad programs for ACU. In his previous roles at The University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) he also has been responsible for the development of international leadership programs, Australian and international government scholarship programs, government relations, compliance and international student support services. Over the last decade, Kirk has helped to establish and coordinate professional development networks for learning abroad staff within Australia and internationally. He has presented and led workshops at NAFSA, EAIE, APAIE, AIEC and other international conferences, to demonstrate and encourage advocacy for international education and share innovations in the field.
Since 2019, Kirk has been an executive member of the Australian Universities International Directors' Forum (AUIDF). He has also worked in the Australian Education Office in Washington DC and has represented Australian universities in over 20 countries.
Before joining the field of international education he worked as an architect. He earned his degrees in Architecture from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and studied abroad in the United States and Sweden.
