With 28+ years of experience in the comparative education and marketing fields, Marybeth Gruenewald has organized and presented conference sessions and workshops on a variety of International admissions, credential evaluation, and other related topics. She served three years as the admissions representative for the NAFSA Region V Team and from 2004-2007 served as the national admissions and credential evaluation coordinator for the Recruitment, Admissions, and Preparation Knowledge Community. As a NAFSA Trainer Corps member, she taught hundreds of newcomers in the Foreign Educational Credentials Analysis Workshop. She is a frequent presenter at domestic and international conferences such as NAFSA, NAGAP, and EAIE. Ms. Gruenewald was a 3-year member of the International Relations Committee for NAGAP. She served as a 6-year member of the EAIE Professional Development Committee which oversees the training programs and the organization’s workshops' content for the its annual conference. Prior to that, she was engaged as a volunteer consultant assisting in the creation of the webinar program of EAIE. She is a conference session reviewer for NAFSA National conferences. In 2007, she was awarded the NAFSA Award for Service to the Organization and in 2015, Marybeth received the National Association for Graduate Admissions Professionals' [NAGAP] Building Bridges national award. She served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services [NACES} for ten years as Board Secretary. Beginning her career as an Evaluation Associate, she rose through the ranks to become a professional evaluator, promoted to Senior Evaluator, became the Director for Evaluation Staff Development, and currently is the Director of Global Initiatives, where she oversees the ECE® e-Learning program, engages in public relations, social media and content management within the Marketing Team, and serves as a liaison between ECE and U.S. and national and international organizations and International governmental bodies.
