Director of International Programs
McNeese State University
Preble Giltz Girard leads the Office of International Programs at McNeese State University and has been associated with the office since 2002. During this time she has overseen the establishment of the first dedicated international student services office, the first bilateral study abroad exchange agreements and the strategic growth of the international student population. She has also been a key adviser in the articulation and implementation of policies to promote diversified international student recruitment and retention in an efficient, cost-effective and meaningful manner to enhance the internationalization of the McNeese campus and local community. Her current work focuses on emerging markets.
Ms. Giltz Girard also has a background in French Immersion and was a bilingual education specialist from 2007-2012. She earned her B.A. and M.A. in History at Ohio University as well as a DEUG from the Université de Caen. She is a NAFSA Academy (Class 1) graduate.
