Adria L. Baker, Associate Vice Provost for International Education, Offices of International Students & Scholars and Brasil@Rice at Rice University, is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar Ambassador, with a 2021 France Fulbright IEA and 2013 Fulbright Korean IEA. She has held national and regional leadership positions in international education including: 1) Texas State Whip 2) Mayor's Task Force for International Visitors 3) Texas Governor's Infrastructure Council 4) led Committee for a Texas IE Policy in TX House & Senate), 5) chaired NAFSA Region III 6) RAC, 7) Local Arrangements Team (LAT) for NAFSA's conference in Houston 8) co-chaired the Pre-registration Committee 9) Fulbright selection committee. Baker has presented many sessions at the national, regional, and local level, and has written several articles on international education. She won the inaugural awards: 1) KCISS for IE Excellence 2) Advocate of the Year, and 3) Region III Advocacy Day travel grant named. Simon Campus Internationalization Award 2015 and IIE Heiskell Award leadership for Brazilian initiatives.
