Director of International Relations

Sara López-Selga is Director of International Relations at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain, since 2007. With a double Bachelor of Political Sciences and Sociology and a Master in Public and Social Policies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Sara went on to gain professional experience at home and abroad before returning to the university to lead the strategy of the highly internationalized institution. In her current position, Sara promotes agreements and projects for mobility and academic cooperation worldwide, supervises international student services and is responsible for program development. She influences and implements the design of the internationalization strategy of the university and its participation in the European University initiative.
Sara is an active member of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) leadership, where she served in the Board and the Professional Development Committee. She received a Fulbright-Schuman grant as international educator in 2013-14 to conduct practitioner research in the United States and she contributed to the EAIE barometer.
She likes to share and reflect on experience and practice in the field, being a regular speaker at different international conferences.
