International Risk Manager

Shaun M. Jamieson has more than decade of higher education experience in a variety of functional areas including program management, student conduct, academic advising and residence life both domestically and internationally. Shaun currently serves as the International Risk Manager for Iowa State University. In this role, Shaun oversees the university’s international health, safety, and security initiatives. This includes working with thousands of study abroad and business travelers, managing the university’s travel risk program, and offering risk management oversight for the institutions two foreign campuses. Prior to joining Iowa State University, Shaun worked operated and/or oversaw educational programs in China, India, Turkey, and Morocco while living abroad. Before working in international education, Shaun was the Dean of Students for the prestigious Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP). Shaun holds a M.Ed., Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Professional and Technical Communication from in Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a board member for Pulse International and the International Association of Student Affairs and Services and is a member of the steering committee for the OSAC Academic Sector Committee.
