Humber College
Andrew Ness has dedicated his entire career to working with students around the world in post-secondary education. He has over 30 years of experience in post-secondary education, with accomplishments and awards in student recruitment, admissions, marketing, student success and internationalization. He has led the International Education division at Humber College for the past six years. He has presided over unprecedented international enrollment growth and did the same at Sheridan College prior. During his time at Humber and despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, international student enrollment has seen unprecedented growth. Humber now educates over 6,000 full-time students from 120 countries. Humber is fully committed to internationalization in all its forms. This is reflected in the recent Gold medal win by Humber in the Global Engagement category of the College & Institutes Canada "Awards of Excellence" program in April 2022.
His career includes seven years of consulting experience, working with hundreds of colleges and universities in both Canada and the United States. He successfully led the implementation of world-class standards for grading and assessment in the United Arab Emirates while working as a regional Campus Registrar at the nation’s largest college. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Rotman School (University of Toronto) and spent four months as an exchange student in Germany during his studies there.
