International Programs Manager

Yomarie Castellano, International Programs Manager at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Center for International Education, has worked in the field of international education for 14 years. She manages UWM’s education abroad programs in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden, Taiwan, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Argentina, and faculty-led programs in various locations. In addition to her regular duties, she coordinates the study abroad office’s on-campus and community outreach efforts as well as serves as the Primary Investigator for the IDEAS Grant, a capacity building grant to help diversify study abroad. She has served as a Program Assistant for two faculty-led programs (Mexico and Cuba) where she supported the faculty and students from the program’s application phase to onsite management. She was awarded a Fulbright International Education Administrator Award for Taiwan in 2020 which will take place in March 2023.
Prior to working in study abroad, Yomarie served as an advisor for the UWM Talent Search Program, a pre-college program serving disadvantaged middle and high school students in the Milwaukee area.
