Robert Oliva, St. Francis College’s assistant vice president for enrollment management, leads the admissions and financial aid teams, developing and executing strategies and activities to attract, enroll, retain and graduate a talented and diverse student body. Oliva and his team also help ensure students understand and receive all the financial support for which they are eligible.
Since joining the College in 2009, Oliva has held several positions, including director of recruitment for the admissions office; director of community partnerships, special events and campus security; and adjunct professor. Additionally, he has been the public address announcer for the St. Francis College men’s and women’s basketball teams since 2015.
Oliva was director of alumni relations for Xaverian High School in Brooklyn from 2004 to 2009. He also served as chairman of the Police Officer Christopher Hoban Memorial Run Committee for 14 years and as a director of St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf for six years.
Oliva is a member of the executive board of the New York State Association for College Admission where he also co-chairs the annual Winter Institute
and the scholarship committee of CACNY. He is also serving as member-at-large of Study New York, an organization that promotes New York State internationally as an education destination.
Oliva earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from St. Francis College. He received his master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College, City University of New York, where he was a member of its Global Honors Society for Public Affairs and Administration. In addition, Oliva received a certificate in leadership in enrollment management from the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education.
