Dr. Jennifer Davis serves as Director of International Studies at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. This role leads university global engagement efforts and focuses on expanding the global mindsets of students, faculty, and the community by overseeing study abroad development, intercultural engagement activities, and international student recruitment and retention. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Communication with the University of Arkansas in 2009, a master’s degree in International and Intercultural Communication with the University of Denver in 2012, and a doctoral degree in Global Educational Leadership with Lamar University in 2019. Dr. Davis has previously served as Chairwoman of Greater Texarkana Young Professionals, TAMUT Staff Council President, and President of Study Texas. She also serves on A&M Texarkana’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. This committee strives to create a sustainable culture that fearlessly recognizes and boldly endorses the uniqueness of every student, staff, and faculty member. It is this notion of embracing and empowering others that drives Dr. Davis in her pursuit of global citizenry.
