Randall Martin, executive director of the B.C. Council for International Education, is active both domestically and internationally in support of the goals of internationalization. He has experience spanning more than 30 years in postsecondary education, development education, and international education, including more than 15 years designing, implementing, and managing international mobility programming and the internationalization efforts of a major university. He began his professional career teaching in the college sector in Vancouver before assuming various roles (teacher training, curriculum development, and project management) on a university development project in eastern and central Indonesia, after which he returned to Canada mandated to design and implement international student programming for Simon Fraser University. His efforts established the precursor of SFU International and set into design and motion SFU’s award-winning international programming.
