Assistant Director, ISSS

Grace Semple-Paul is the Assistant Director of ISSS in the Center for Global Engagement at Baylor University and served as NAFSA Regbud for Student Issues for Region III from 2017 - 2018. An immigrant from Guyana, South America she earned a B.A. in Religious Education, and then a J D from Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University), New York. Her experience includes internships at the King’s County D.A. Office, the New York County Clerk’s Office, the New York Attorney General’s Office, and as a legal assistant in King’s County courts, New York. For eight years she was self-employed as a Non-Profit Consultant and Grant Writer. After interning at UH in the office of International Student and Scholar Services, she worked at Houston Community College as an International Advisor, and then returned to UH where she worked in the office that served more than 5,000 international students and scholars. Her present responsibilities at Baylor University includes serving as the RO and supervising the Office Planner and Graduate Assistant. She is a 2013-2014 NAFSA Grassroots Advocate and has participated in several NAFSA Advocacy Day in Washington DC and as a past member of NAFSA Trainer Corps she has presented at various conferences.
