Christa Olson has worked in international education close to 30 years. After completing her B.A. in Foreign Languages at Washington State University and Ph.D in French at Stanford University, she launched her career as a professor of French and Intercultural Studies at New Jersey City University (NJCU). Subsequently, she served as the Associate Director for International Programs at the American Council on Education from 2001-2011 and as Vice Provost for International Programs at Drake University (2011-2016). Now at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), she is responsible for leading the Center for Global Engagement. A longstanding member of NAFSA and AIEA, she has served on committees and the AIEA Board. Facilitating global intercultural learning has long been her passion and she is now exploring how to expand this work beyond academia.
