Greg Tuke is a Fulbright Scholar and an internationally-recognized instructional coach, speaker and workshop leader focused on the design and implementation of high impact Collaborative On-line International Learning (COIL) courses.
For the past decade, he has designed and led COIL training workshops for faculty at leading universities throughout North America, including Duke University, University of Washington, University of North Carolina, Portland State University and Shenandoah University. Internationally, he has provided COIL training workshops throughout India and in Indonesia, Egypt, Spain, and Jordan. He currently provides COIL faculty training workshops and consultation to more than twenty universities in Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, and the US to help universities scale up the number of faculty teaching COIL courses.
Mr. Tuke has taught more than two dozen COIL courses at the University of Washington, Seattle University, Antioch University and elsewhere in the fields of Communication, Environmental Sustainability, Business, Education Studies, International Studies, and Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. Students in his courses have partnered with university students in Rwanda, Vietnam, India, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Peru, and the Philippines. He has a particular interest and history in working with students and faculty in the Middle East. These courses take full advantage of using student-produced videos, social media and video conferencing tools to enhance cross-cultural understanding and project-based problem-solving in small global teams.
Mr. Tuke has twenty-five years of experience leading education and international organizations, travel abroad programs and placing students in international non-profit internships. He has a masters in Social Work and in 1999 was selected as a Denali Fellow, a three-year national program for social entrepreneurs led by faculty from Stanford and the Harvard Business School. He is a Fulbright Scholar, and served as a COIL trainer living in India for 6 months, working with universities throughout India.
