Ivo Zdráhal is the associate professor of Agriculture Economics and Policy at the Department of Regional and Business Economics, Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. He holds Ph.D. degree in economics and management and Ing. in agriculture and food economics from the Faculty of Business and Economics at Mendel University in Brno. In addition to teaching in several courses, his research program includes topics as development trajectories of agriculture in the EU and in the Czech Republic, agri-food value chains analyses and agri-food trade in European or international context. His international teaching and research experience includes cooperation with universities in Western Europe (Germany, Netherland, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy) and Central and Eastern Europe (Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania). He was also a member of a project team managing a system of practical student’s internships in developing countries (Chile, Nicaragua, South Africa and Thailand). Most recently, he is managing mobility and cooperation program between the Czech wine industry and non-EU wine producing countries.
