Dr. Jacob Cushing has been involved with international education for over a decade. In his role as the Director of Global Engagement and Student Records at the College of Lake County (Grayslake, IL), Dr. Cushing performs a broad range of duties to meet the needs of CLC international and study abroad students, in addition to spearheading curricular internationalization efforts and faculty development. Dr. Cushing serves as the College’s PDSO and RO and leads all study abroad initiatives, internationalization strategies, and any and all development of international partnerships and agreements. His research focus is on improving international student success through strategic and purposeful acculturation support models. Dr. Cushing has extensive international travel experience and has lived and worked abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration and Community College Leadership from Northern Illinois University.
