Emily loves activating courage in people and teams to do meaningful work. Currently, Emily serves as an International Student Advisor in the Office of International Student and Scholar Services at Portland State University. She has worked in the field of higher education since 2008, and has strong experience in immigration advising, international student programming, knowledge sharing, and leadership development. Her speciality is in managing high-impact, futures focused projects that help students feel more connected and empowered. Emily has presented at numerous NAFSA conferences, and likes to experiment with new ways to engage participants. In addition to her role at PSU, Emily is involved in multiple leadership positions within her local NAFSA region and is part of a local cohousing community ourside of Portland.
