Kalpen Trivedi is Vice Provost for Global Affairs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the Commonwealth’s flagship land-grant campus. He is responsible for campus-wide strategic leadership of global engagement and operational oversight of the International Programs Office. He has nearly two decades of experience in global operations, global partnership management, international educational program design and evaluation, and international risk management. A regular contributor and presenter in various forums, Trivedi is Chair (2022) of the NAFSA International Education Leadership Knowledge Community. He is a 2019-20 AIEA Presidential Fellow and serves on the Standards and Governance Committee of the US Department of State's Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and is recent Vice-Chair OSAC’s Academia Sector Committee. Trivedi holds a doctoral degree in Medieval British Literature from the University of Manchester, and was recognized in 2021 by the Institute of International Education as Senior International Officer of the Year.
