Florida International University
Claudia Anderson is originally from Miami, FL and earned a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University. After graduation, Claudia joined American Councils for International Education, working with the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program for three years. Under CLS, Claudia began assisting all 14 language institutes and then managed the four CLS language programs based in India. Through this position, Claudia's committment to international education solidified, and when she moved back home to Miami, she hoped to continue supporting students through their cultural exchange journeys. Transitiong from education abroad, where she worked with U.S. college students, to international students and scholars services has been a very rewarding experience of being able to learn from both sides of the same coin. Claudia enjoys advising students and developing programming and resouces for international students' adjustment to the U.S. both inside and outside of the classroom.
