Senior Program Officer, 100K Innovation Fund

Laura Cossette is the Senior Program Officer for the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund at Partners of the Americas. Laura is primarily responsible for managing the grant competitions and application cycles, and providing training and support to applicants as well as grant recipients. Laura brings with her years of experience in international studies and work. Her passion for education and interest was sparked by her experience as an English Language Instructor in Cusco, Peru and as an intern with a rural education reform program at a non-profit based in Bogotá, Colombia. Through these experiences, Laura has developed professional-level fluency in Spanish and has become committed to cultivating sustainable, equitable, and just bilateral relations between the United States and Latin America.
Laura holds a B.A. in International Studies with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Soka University of America and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. In these roles, she has focused on human rights, gender studies, post-conflict reconstruction, and education.
