Leo is a University of Sheffield graduate with 10 years of work experience in the Secondary, Further and Higher Education sectors. Following completion of an Erasmus study placement in the Netherlands in 2007, Leo has had continual involvement in student mobility activity and international education more broadly ever since.
Having worked in the private and public sector in the UK, plus two years working for an NGO based in Brussels promoting Erasmus and student exchange, Leo has developed an extensive knowledge of sector, and now leads De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester’s flagship student mobility programme, DMU Global. He oversees an international experience programme that sends over 2000 students overseas per year on a combination of study, work and volunteering activities. DMU Global was given a Times Higher Award for Outstanding International Strategy in recognition of the innovative and accessible approach to student mobility that the programme has taken.
Leo is an active member of various associations and networks involved in International Education such as EAIE, NAFSA, HEURO and the UUKi Community of Practice Working Group for Outward Mobility.
