Clay Harmon is the Director of International Enrollment Strategy and Admissions for the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. In his 10 years at CU Denver, Clay has held multiple roles related to the recruitment and admission of international students with a particular focus on recruitment agents, inter-university partnerships, and China and surrounding markets. His career before joining CU Denver included both in-bound and out-bound international student mobility. He has recruited international students for Tacoma Community College and led study abroad programs in China for the US Department of State and the Alliance for Global Education. Clay has studied and worked in Taiwan and mainland China, is fluent in Mandarin Chinese (simplified and traditional), and has traveled to every province of China as well as many other countries in Asia. He holds a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound and an EdM in Higher Education from Harvard University, and is currently pursuing an EdD in Leadership for Educational Equity in Higher Education at CU Denver.
