Lift as We Climb: Black and African American Professionals in International Education

Supporting one another and helping the next generation is at the core of Civil Rights philosophy. Experienced Black and African American international education professionals discuss mentorship, research, scholarship, professional development, and NAFSA opportunities. This session also provides a forum for networking for new and more experienced professionals.

Learning Objectives:

Learn about networking strategies and mentoring opportunities and the importance of Black/African American role models in the field.
Gain an introduction to NAFSA networking tools and special interest groups, especially Black and Multicultural Professionals in International Education.
Create a networking plan for the NAFSA 2022 Annual Conference & Expo, and leave with guidelines on how to continue networking and mentorship strategies going forward.
