Sustainable Virtual Global Learning: Lessons Learned and Best Practices

This session presents a showcase of model practices for innovative virtual programs designed to be intentionally immersive, experiential, and accessible. Learn, discuss, and practice strategies to incorporate sustainable and adaptable programming that promotes internationalization, strengthens partnerships, and supports global learning in a changing world.

Learning Objectives:

Describe unique program models for virtual global learning, with a focus on peer-to-peer virtual exchanges and a custom faculty-led virtual program.
Identify strategies and opportunities for innovation to leverage and strengthen partnerships, increase interest in mobility-based global programs, and promote internationalization at institutions.
Develop strategies to assess outcomes to advocate and further innovate sustainable education abroad initiatives.
Illustrate model practices for incorporating technology-enhanced global learning into both virtual and hybrid programming as well as improving recruitment and predeparture preparation.
