Student and Exchange Visitor Program: Current Issues

This session addresses current issues practitioners face with regulatory, policy, and practice inconsistencies that affect the advising of students in F and M immigration status from the perspective of experienced NAFSA leaders. Attendees gain tips, tools, and resources to navigate current Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) issues. SEVP officials will participate.

Learning Objectives:

Learn about recent and upcoming changes and updates from SEVP.
Better understand the current and emerging regulatory policies, processes, and issues; gain innovative approaches for navigating them.
Learn about NAFSA resources related to this topic, including NAFSA’s International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice Committee.
