Building Sustainable Higher Education for Japan and its Global Partners

The COVID-19 pandemic is necessitating shifts to virtual modalities and exchanges. This session introduces JV-Campus, an all-Japan virtual platform for online course sharing among global universities and business partners. This initiative, supported by Japan’s Ministry of Education, aims to establish a multilateral way to provide courses globally.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the current situation of Japanese higher education and the emerging policies and actions undertaken to rethink global exchange and collaboration.
Illustrate an all-Japan initiative to promote an innovative virtual platform to ensure global collaboration and exchange in a post-COVID-19 world that involves all stakeholders, including students, universities, and industry.
Demonstrate a virtual platform for sharing courses among global education and industry partners.
