11:30 AM – 11:55 AM MDT
Location: Room 708-712
This session presents a case study on the design and delivery of an interdisciplinary global learning course that includes justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) principles. The session discusses how to initiate and engage in meaningful conversations on JEDI issues at the intersection of global and local contexts.
Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate methods for including JEDI-related discussions in global learning courses with a focus on engaging topics such as global-level inequity and diversity within the national and local contexts.
Demonstrate how to include JEDI principles in the design of global learning courses, which includes strategies such as using local (“glo-cal”) resources and internationalization-at-home opportunities that are accessible to all students.
