U.S. Department of State Consular Affairs: Current Issues

This session focuses on the visa application process that international students and scholars pursue, including factors considered by consular officers in processing visa applications. Presenters address current issues and anticipated developments in visa processing. Department of State officials will participate.

Develop an awareness of the visa process and potential outcomes.
Gain insight into the decision-making process of a consular officer analyzing visa eligibility.
Learn about strategies and resources that inform office model practices in visa issuance assistance.
