English Language Programs: Industry Overview, Enrollment Data, and Market Trends

An expert panel—from EnglishUSA; the Institute of International Education’s Research, Evaluation, and Learning Unit; and the U.S. Department of Commerce—discusses trends in international student mobility and the impact on English language programs. Presenters provide information from recent Open Doors data and updates on trends in key recruitment markets for English language programs.

Learning Objectives:

Summarize current, comprehensive data regarding trends ranging from international student mobility to the administration of English language programs.
Apply knowledge garnered from data on emerging international student markets and new student recruitment practices for language training and collaborating with key partners, such as universities.
Reflect on trends of English language programs in international enrollment management in the United States, and compare them with overseas language program industries.
