Navigating the International Education Profession as a Person of Color

The international education field has come a long way as an established profession. However, international educators still need more diversity, especially in leadership roles. Join four international education professionals to hear their career journeys, key career impacts, and how to support future person of color (POC) leaders in their career development and professional journeys.

Learning Objectives:

Demonstrate understanding of the gap in and need for an increase of POC leadership within international education.
Identify key opportunities and impactful ways to support POC colleagues (or oneself) in professional advancement, enrichment, and career success.
Reflect on current structures of power and institutions to help reconstruct lasting building structures that encourage POC as leaders during their professional journeys.
