This roundtable discussion among senior international officers and aspiring global engagement leaders offers insight from research and experience to cultivate strategies for redefining internationalization amid the pandemic and beyond, focusing on the emerging trends in the field and taking into consideration institutional priorities for staffing and resources.

Learning Objectives:

Understand related research and case studies useful to navigating leadership in times of change.
Describe how the field of international education is adapting to the post-COVID-19 reality and the novel strategies, innovative approaches, and redefined competencies that may be required.
Articulate how current trends in international education inform approaches to strategic planning, programming, staff development, and support.
Define the new competencies needed to navigate the future for international education leaders in light of changes in the field.
