Academic Immigration Liability: Risks and Responses

Academic immigration practitioners face complex situations in the course of their advising responsibilities. Presenters review liabilities and responsibilities from a legal standpoint, discuss institutional coverage if a specific designated school official or alternate responsible officer is sued, and present resources and tools to aid in proactive and supportive responses.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the legal liabilities facing academic immigration practitioners.
Review resources and tools that can be used when facing a complex liability case.
Learn to evaluate liability cases through two case study reviews.
