New international student orientation programs were forced to go online in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns. As we move toward a post-COVID world, with many campuses returning to on-campus instruction, many international student and scholar services offices are rethinking how they present their orientation. How have COVID-19 accommodations allowed them to rethink and improve orientation programs? What innovations have worked or not? Will institutions continue online sessions? Will they return to on-campus sessions? Will they use a hybrid model? Join presenters for a session on everything related to orientation! This session was selected as the Region II conference highlight from the NAFSA 2021 All-Region Summit.
Learning Objectives:
Assess current orientation programs for efficiency and efficacy.
Discuss orientation presentation options for future consideration.
Evaluate orientation ideas from colleagues for implementation in their own orientation sessions.
