Using case studies, admissions and enrollment management professionals navigate the complexities of admissions counseling and regulatory advising. Participants examine immigration regulations and admissions policies related to international students. This workshop provides participants with the tools and resources to support their daily work.

Learning Objectives:

Recognize which admissions policies should be determined by the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security (DHS) and State (DOS) regulation and/or institutional policy.
Confidently address common questions about whether applicants’ immigration status affects their admissibility.
Critically assess how institutions can meet their academic goals and objectives while maintaining compliance with DHS/DOS requirements.
