Examine challenges facing international students and scholars. Explore options, develop strategies, make connections, and build adaptive advising skills. Through practice and practical exploration, participants return to their work setting with new ideas to connect, collaborate, and expand their work. This workshop is intended for those with less than five years in the field.
Please note that this workshop will take place over two days. Participants should plan to attend both days.
Learning Objectives:
Build strategies to fulfill the many roles of the international adviser.
Apply those strategies to specific situations where intercultural communication skills, regulatory requirements, and analytical skills all come into play.
Work efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively to support student and scholar adjustment needs.
