Critical Language Gains in Virtual Versus In-Person Modalities

While immersive language-learning experiences are most effective when implemented in person, the Critical Language Scholarship Program successfully fostered notable language-learning increases through virtual programming for summer 2021 participants. We compare the language gains on CLS in-person programs since 2010 to those on its virtual programs in 2021.
