Negative Acculturation and Black International Students in U.S. Higher Education
This poster provides insight into whether the hyper-racialized environment of the United States plays a role in pushing black Afro-Caribbean and Sub-Saharan African international students along a path of negative acculturation. This path is usually characterized by separation or marginalization from the host culture and a rejection of its norms.
