Barrett began work with Restoration Systems in the summer of 2005 as a field and GIS intern. Since then he has developed into a jack of all trades for Restoration Systems with particular interest in accounting, policy, and new markets. Restoration Systems actively manages 40+ new and existing mitigation projects in the stream, wetland, endangered species and water quality markets across several states.
Barrett holds an undergraduate degree in environmental studies and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he currently serves on the Board of Visitors for their Institute for the Environment. He also serves on the City of Raleigh Stormwater Advisor Commission and Inter Faith Food Shuttle Finance Committee.
