Wes Barnett is a Mitigation Project Manager for the U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, within Ohio and West Virginia. Wes sits on both the Ohio and West Virginia Interagency Review Teams working primarily with third-party mitigation providers. He is a technical lead for compensatory mitigation focusing on Ohio mitigation banks, in-Lieu fee sites, and permittee responsible mitigation proposals within the Huntington District. He has worked on the development of both stream and wetland mitigation guidelines in Ohio as well as stream and wetland assessment methodologies. Wes began his career at the Battelle Memorial Institute conducting toxicological research studies. He joined the Huntington District Regulatory Division in 2014 where he has worked for the past seven years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The Ohio State University and Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Marshall University.
