Ashley Zavagno is a restoration ecologist at WRA where she manages and entitles mitigation banks across California. She is Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner through the Society of Ecological Restoration and a Certified Ecologist through the Ecological Society of America. She earned her Master of Environmental Science and Management with a specialization in conservation planning at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management in Santa Barbara, CA. As a project manager of several mitigation banks, she oversees the entire bank entitlement process, but also provides technical expertise in informing ecologically appropriate restoration designs, developing performance standards and monitoring approaches, and drafting long-term management plans. Her work spans a variety of California ecosystems from arid washes to vernal pools to riparian forests, but her passion is river and salmonid restoration.
