This special 1/2-day dialogue will build on the progress made over the last few years at the NMEBC conference. Beginning in 2018 with a focused project sharing session, followed by 2 brainstorming sessions in 2019 and 2020 and culminating at the 2021 conference with the formalization of a working group, 2 dedicated sessions, and a 2 hour working group discussion focused on the outline for a future white paper. This year we will lead a two-part workshop, Part 1 will be a 2-hour session with new and revisiting speakers, highlighting successful projects, ongoing drivers behind the conversation, industry advances on the topic, and solutions to perceived and real hurdles.
Following this will be Part 2 stakeholder (and visitor) working group where we will present a draft or draft-final of the pending white paper and lead a discussion around next steps for the focus group. Focus is to identify action items to advance the larger goal of facilitating mitigation on public lands and an influx of private funds, finding a clear path to for-profit mitigation on public lands.
Note: These workshops have been building a stakeholder group and smaller working group.
WHEN REGISTERING, you will have the opportunity to sign-up for the one or both parts:
• Part I, with a focus on informing of the objectives, challenges and examples; and then
• Part II which is a two-hour working group session on addressing the challenges and obstacles.
