Remote sensing is a powerful tool that gives project developers and mitigation banks a new way to understand and manage landscapes large and small. Upstream Tech's Lens aggregates satellite, aerial, and environmental data into an easy-to-use online platform to create a workflow for efficient and effective planning, project management, and monitoring across teams. Project developers and mitigation banks use Lens to captures nuanced information about wetland conditions, such as seasonal or annual variations, and to quickly generate compliance reports for regulators and stakeholders. For this presentation, Upstream Tech will first give an overview of the remote sensing data available in Lens, and how making this data easily accessible is improving our understanding of environmental management. Next, Upstream Tech will walk through how Len can be used to analyze and monitor changes on wetlands, whether to set baselines that inform site assessment or monitor the management of a site or restoration outcomes over time. Environmental Investment Partners will then share how they have been applying Lens in their work, and discuss broader opportunities for remote sensing and environmental tech for mitigation project developers.
