Mitigation banking success depends upon setting and meeting requirements established in each bank instrument. The process of collecting, calculating, and evaluating the data that demonstrates success is time consuming and costly. There are friction points in the process, starting with getting approval of the bank instrument, through the construction phase, and all the way to proving the success of the restoration for the release of the credits. We share lessons we have learned working with several mitigation banks to implement technologies that increase accuracy and efficiency and accelerate the delivery of reporting on success throughout the bank lifecycle. Central to the study is an examination of typical friction points that slow the overall banking process. Each bank is different so we explore the power of technology platforms to be both flexible and consistent in managing data and photos, and delivering clear and timely reports.
