The khapra beetle, Trogoderma granarium, is a serious pest of stored products with large impacts for international trade and quarantine policies. A better understanding of its behavior and its susceptibility to insecticides would help to improve management tools. Here we examine the effects of sub-lethal insecticide exposure on various dimensions of movement patterns of T. granarium larvae using Noldus EthoVision software. We are able to more precisely and completely assess the onset of these behavioral effects and the pattern of recovery using this tool.
