The field of veterinary entomology primarily focuses on investigating insect and arthropod pests and vectors that negatively impact animal health. The 2022 joint annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America, Entomological Society of Canada, and the Entomological Society of British Columbia meeting theme Entomology as Inspiration: Insects through art, science, and culture guided the veterinary highlight compilation of papers. The papers and topics highlighted in this talk will be diverse, ranging from transcriptomics to systematics. This talk aims to inspire new research ideas in the field of veterinary entomology going into 2023.
